About the Role:Our client, a global leader in the raw material manufacturing industry, is at the forefront of innovation, producing environmentally sustainable products utilised within various boards and specialty products across New Zealand and Australia. An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager at their Eastern BOP plant.This is a critical leadership role within a 24/7 heavy industrial manufacturing environment. As the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the coordination and execution of major maintenance, capital projects, and shutdowns for a major hazard asset. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of maintenance operations. You'll be tasked with achieving key performance targets in safety, cost, quality, and delivery, while leading a team of both direct and indirect reports.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance operations, capital projects, and shutdowns for a complex, major hazard facility.Implement and manage the capital re-equipping program aligned with the site's life-of-asset strategy.Provide strong leadership, driving a high-performance culture across maintenance and engineering teams.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing techniques and driving best practices.Manage and control a significant maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective and safe delivery of services.Develop and mentor your team, providing coaching and support for career growth and skill development.Collaborate across departments to ensure optimal asset reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety.Lead with a focus on asset management frameworks, risk management, and compliance.Your Skills and Experience:Extensive experience in maintenance or engineering management within heavy industry or complex manufacturing.Proven track record in leading site-wide maintenance functions, preferably within major hazard facilities.Strong knowledge of asset management principles, including reliability, maintainability, and compliance.Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement.A natural leader with the ability to influence, coach, and build strong relationships across teams.Ability to resolve complex technical issues using a methodical, data-driven approach.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or similar).Previous experience within a major hazard facility desired.Current unrestricted work rights for New ZealandOn Offer:Competitive remuneration package of $180 K - $200 K + benefitsOpportunity to work within a dynamic, engaged, and progressive team.Commitment to safety and a culture of continuous improvement.Ongoing career development and progression within a global industry leader.How to Apply:If this rare and exciting opportunity sounds like the perfect fit for you, contact Kerry today at 021 917 913, or email your CV to ****** the reference number KR77237, or apply online.Please Note:All successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check and a medical examination.
