Based out of their key site in Auckland, with support from their GM and Operations Leadership team, this person will be responsible for the day-to-day planned and reactive repair of plant and equipment across the group's multiple site bases at any one time. You will be confident in your ability to diagnose and repair in a time-critical manner to get operators back up and running, all the while organizing and facilitating outsourcing of servicing and large-scale work as required in this medium-sized, mixed fleet. This role will have you utilize your well-honed time management skills and ability to keep cool under pressure while continuing to develop your skills across the in-house software systems and online portal to ensure that all pieces of the puzzle are kept informed, and this well-oiled maintenance operation is kept humming. Communication is key to this group's success – so you will not only be relatable and understand the civil contracting game, but you will have a mannerism about you that is forward-thinking and solutions-focused, with an ability to always operate in the realm where we are "one team" and each person is intricate to our success, and we treat everyone with respect and understanding.You will have:Proven tenure in the NZ Heavy Diesel market (Heavy Transport and Equipment), ideally as a leading hand or hands-on workshop manager as you will be on the tools 60/40.Experience in the civil construction industry would be beneficial but an understanding of the relationship between operators, maintenance, and suppliers and how to get the best out of these interactions to benefit all parties.Ability to communicate both up and down and a relatable and approachable manner/open door policy as your leadership style.Strong computer acumen with an ability to create and interpret service/warranty documentation and create regular reporting documentation to ensure planned maintenance schedules are created/updated and routinely followed in an App-Based environment.Ability to be based out of Silverdale and comfortable traveling regionally.A passion for the industry and a true values compass that aligns with this business's core ethos and expectations for every team member.Please note you MUST have valid NZ Working Rights to be considered for this role.Apply online for this role or contact Emily Peacock for more information.
