Our Maintenance team is a key factor in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment, or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world.

We are looking for Maintenance team members to help maintain our 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex, along with our 150 staff accommodation rooms, as well as the surrounding support buildings and grounds. This is a varied and fast-paced role with a fun and enthusiastic team, in an environment like no other.

What you will be doing

General maintenance tasks across our hotel rooms, motels, lodge and staff accommodation.

General carpentry, painting tasks and projects, as well as basic plumbing and mechanical repairs.

Operating and maintaining all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPs.

Planning and prioritizing jobs to ensure time limits are met.

Ensuring a high standard of health, safety and hygiene is maintained.

Carrying out any other general maintenance duties as directed.

What you will bring to the role

Relevant trade related skills, ideally you will have a building related trade.

Prior experience in property maintenance is desired.

In love with the outdoors and adapted to remote living.

A confident and safe driver, you hold a full clean NZ Driver's license or international equivalent.

A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skills.

Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize.

A strong desire to strive for excellence.

The role and benefits

Fulltime, permanent position, minimum 60 hours per fortnight.

Pay range is depending on qualifications and experience.
