Our Clandeboye site is Fonterra's largest manufacturing site, with 11 plants processing, at peak up to 13 million litres of milk per day through some of the biggest dryers in the world. We employ over 1,200 people across the value stream all bringing a diverse range of skills, expertise and thought to our operation. About the opportunity | Te whai waahi Business efficiency and asset care and ownership is a key strategic priority which will assist Fonterra in achieving our strategy through generating improvements in performance and practice across our NZ Operations Sites. As Maintenance Lead for our Protein Plant, reporting to the Process Manager, you'll be responsible for the plants maintenance and asset care plan to deliver world class manufacturing performance. With your authentic nature and influencing ability you will bring our team on a successful journey in creating an outstanding culture around food quality, people and safety whilst increasing reliability and efficiency. This is a key role in developing and deploying effective operational and asset strategy processes, becoming the champion, while offering insights and recommendations to financial performance, and being influential in building the engagement and performance of our team, making great things happen. Other key responsibilities include: Various projects and continuous improvement initiatives Work with maintenance to drive improvement in SAP data, and asset strategy Supporting the generation and delivery of key velocity initiatives across the site Identify, prioritise and manage process improvement projects Supporting teams to deliver operational excellence Provision of coaching and mentoring. About you | Moe koe Whether you come from an engineering, maintenance or manufacturing background, the key to your success in this role will be your previous experience of plant and manufacturing processes combined with your mechanical aptitude and strong project management/scheduling skills. Along with this you will be a strong communicator, a decision maker and be able to build effective relationships across the wider business as well as your ability to identify, provide solutions and bring people along on the journey to achieve great success. Your key attributes will include: Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing processes Experience in Plant asset care &/ or dairy or manufacturing plant knowledge Strong ability to manage capital projects, from scope to delivery Experience in building capability across plant processes Business acumen with structured problem-solving and lateral thinking skills Are you excited about this opportunity but may only meet some requirements?
