Maintenance Handyperson

Job Description $29.66 per hour 30 hours per week guaranteed About the Role As Maintenance Hand/Handyperson, you will assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings, using safe working practices, to protect the asset and ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and a safe environment for all guests, visitors and other employees. Key responsibilities include: Assist in the day-to-day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel. Assist in cleaning and maintaining swimming and spa pools. Repair broken windows, screens, doors, fences, barbecues, picnic tables, shelves, cupboards and other items. Repair and paint interior and exterior surfaces such as walls, ceilings and fences. Complete daily plant rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty. Qualifications About you Previous trades experience or experience in a similar position will be advantageous. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi task. Well-presented and able to converse with hotel guests in a professional manner. A quick learner who enjoys learning new skills. A team player with excellent communication and engagement skills. Ability to work 5 days per week on a rotating 7 day roster, including after hours, weekends and public holidays. You have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
