Position summary Based in Wellington, New Zealand you will ensure that all machinery under your responsibility is maintained to the correct standards of Engineering, Safety and Hygiene Manufacturing Practice, good engineering practices, statutory requirements, and EHS and GMP standards.
The successful applicant will need to be Covid 19 X 2 vaccinated and be prepared to have tetanus vaccination due to workplace conditions.
Key responsibilities. Undertake corrective, preventative and productive maintenance work on plant, machinery and equipment to maximize equipment reliability and availability for productionApply and provide high level technical skills and knowledge in emergency breakdown situations to diagnose plant and equipment faults and causesEnsure that all preventative maintenance tasks are relevant, up to date and accurately reflect the actual work carried out during the serviceWork in accordance to SOPs, OH&S and Hygiene Manufacturing Practice guidelines and regulations with a focus on improvementUpdate maintenance records as required to improve maintenance plans and calibration systemAssist production staff in the training/learning process to ensure that all operators operatemachinery at peak efficiency, while maintaining a safe work environmentTrain packaging staff on machine and line set-up and provide ongoing assistance with troubleshooting and maintenance of these systems as requiredSupervise and assist external service contractors as requiredEnsure safe work practices are adhered to and Work Permits are issued when required.
