Maintenance Fitter / Welder

Humes is a leading pipeline systems supplier to New Zealand's infrastructure and rural market.
Our Christchurch production facility is looking for an experience maintenance fitter/welder to join the team!

Undertake scheduled maintenance tasks in a timely and professional manner.
Carry out fitting, machining & general maintenance work as required.
Use the plant spare parts & workshop resources appropriately & safely.
Work within the requirements of Humes Life Saving Rules, procedures, work permits, JSAs and any other related safety documentation.
Ensure the safe mechanical operation of plant and equipment after all maintenance tasks.
About you: Trade certificate in Fitting and Turning or Level 4 Maintenance and Diagnostics or other relevant trade qualification / Experience.
A working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems with an ability to read schematic drawings.
Experience in heavy industrial maintenance environments.
Excellent time management, capable of multi-tasking & prioritising.
