Our client, a leading player in New Zealand's food export industry, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their progressive engineering team. With multiple state-of-the-art processing facilities across New Zealand, this is your chance to be part of a dynamic team that thrives on innovation and excellence.
Our client operates cutting-edge processing facilities, employing up to 440 people during peak seasons. As a Maintenance Fitter/Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of hands-on mechanical repairs and maintenance within a team of 30 skilled professionals. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on collaboration, we offer an environment where your skills and ideas are valued.
What You'll Do: Conduct day-to-day mechanical repairs and maintenance in a variety of production environments.
Work collaboratively with the engineering team to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top-notch service to our processing plant.
Occasionally work in a sole charge capacity, demonstrating autonomy while remaining an integral part of the team.
Get involved in exciting projects and the installation of new site equipment.
What they Value: Relevant Trades Qualification Fitter/Turner.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and repairs and maintenance procedures in an industrial processing setting, or a passion to learn.
Analytical mindset with the ability to implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Self-motivated and capable of both independent and team-based work.
Commitment to Health & Safety practices.
Organized, with excellent planning and prioritization skills.
Desire to continue learning and upskilling, potentially exploring leadership roles or diversifying into other trades.
