About the Role We have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter Machinist to join the Rolling Mills Roll Shop team based in Glenbrook.
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the primary accountability of this position is the refurbish and maintain the roll supplies to the Rolling Mills.
This is a Permanent Full Time Position What you will bring to the role Along with the ability to learn the required skills on the job and produce high quality work in a timely manner, the successful applicant will need to have: You must hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate A strong team focus while also being comfortable working independently Great communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal Excellent computer literacy Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills A positive attitude along with willingness and ability to take ownership of your work Proven good attendance and work history with the ability to produce high quality work The normal working hours for this position average out at 42 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork along with a willingness to positively contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment along with an uncompromising attitude towards health and safety to drive a zero-harm culture within the plant.
