AFFCO Manawatu is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter.
The Maintenance Fitter is an integral part in the existing trade's team. The position ensures Plant assets are managed and maintained to enhances the company's short and long term objectives, as well as minimising production downtime. The position operates on a rotating shift structure, including call outs.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following key requirements for the role:
Strong time management skill in order to prioritise projects when required,
A proactive approach to daily routine with strong organisational skills,
A strong commitment to upholding health and safety standards,
Strong problem solving skills,
Welding ability Tig, Mig, MMAW.
Apprentice Fitter roles are also available for candidates without experience. Qualifications
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
Trade certificate in engineering/maintenance or equivalent.
Previous engineering experience in a food processing environment would be an advantage.
Hydraulics & pneumatics experience would be an advantage.
