Job DescriptionSPM Malvern is seeking an experienced and motivated maintenance fitter.
This position will join the existing trades team on either day or night shift, to help ensure that plant assets are managed and maintained in a way that minimizes processing downtime and enhances the company's short- and long-term objectives.
This role is an integral part of our operation, and we require someone with a positive, can-do attitude and someone who works extremely well within a team.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following key requirements for the role:
Be a real team player with excellent communication skillsA proactive attitude to make sure that production departments experience minimal down time due to engineering/maintenance requirementsStrong organisational skills which complement the need to manage a variety of priorities and demandsStrong problem-solving skillsAppropriate qualifications and/or engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentQualificationsApplicants must have:
A Trade certificate in engineering/maintenance or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualificationWelding ability Tig, Mig, MMAWKnowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsPrevious experience working with automated plant and equipmentPrevious engineering experience in a food processing environment would be an advantageA proactive approach to daily routine with strong organisational skillsA strong commitment to upholding health and safety standardsA desire to succeedAdditional InformationSPM is a drug-free workplace.
