Maintenance Fitter

This premier pet food manufacturer in North Christchurch needs a Maintenance superhero to keep production humming! A ROLE TO MAKE YOUR OWN
Being the sole Fitter on-site, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production machines, equipment and plant facilities. Your day will be divided into repairing, installing and maintaining all mechanical components, as well as identifying and troubleshooting any potential issues. You'll also play a critical role in the installation and commissioning of new machinery – plenty to keep you on your toes!
This an opportunity to use your initiative and experience to also refine and develop planned maintenance systems using CMMS (MEX).
UP TO THE CHALLENGE? Relevant trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hygiene-critical manufacturing environment. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems. Light fabrication and welding (TIG ideal) The ability to work unsupervised and manage their time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. THE TOTAL PACKAGE
