Afternoons are not much better. The fabled "Dayshift only" roles are getting harder to find in a world that demands 24/7 maintenance coverage BUT there are still roles like this that break the trend. A normal week will be 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday but some maintenance tasks are planned for Saturdays – All Saturday work will be notified well in advance and paid at OT rates. KEEP PRODUCTION HUMMING: Out of all the base ingredients that go into our daily food, this one we love the most. The Penrose plant turns raw plant material into various grades of powders, oils and syrups. Onsite you'll find a mix of large-scale processing/refining machinery and automated packaging equipment that all need to be in top working order. On-shift tasks range from conducting routine PMs on a range of automated production/packaging machines to tending to breakdowns. You will be hands-on with pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, bearings and everything you expect to see in a food production line. You will utilize every Fitter's favourite CMMS MEX to make sure activity is shared with the wider maintenance team. GOT THE RIGHT SKILLS? Sound like you? : NZ Trade Cert in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Maintenance & Diagnostics Strong faultfinding ability Basic welding (Stainless/TIG ideal) Mechanical Fitting/Turning Clean/Tidy work habits Must have current and unrestricted NZ working rights WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? The base wage of $40-45/h comes with overtime rates of either T1.5 or double-time depending on when extra hours are required.
