We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter/Fabricator for an exciting opportunity with a well-established engineering company based in Tauranga This is a hands-on role within a dynamic team where you'll have the chance to work across a variety of projects in a broad engineering environment.

As a Maintenance Fitter/Fabricator, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of machinery and equipment, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and contributing to continuous improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.Fabricate, assemble, and modify components based on requirements, including welding and metalworking.Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to carry out repairs and modifications.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment issues and optimize performance.Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory of parts.Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of systems and processes.What We're Looking For: A qualified Maintenance Fitter, Fabricator, or equivalent trade qualification (Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
