About the Job
Our Team Leaders have really stepped up as our business has grown and are now a key part of our operations. They play a proactive hands-on leadership role overseeing teams of professional tradespeople providing trade engineering expertise to a wide and varied range of customers, including:
Fisheries
Food production
Aquaculture and marine
Sawmills
MDF/LVL manufacturing
And more
In this role, you will be the crucial link between our maintenance services business unit and one of our major manufacturing clients. Embedded in their operation, you will get to use your extensive maintenance engineering skills, knowledge, and abilities to deal with diverse on-the-job challenges whilst providing great leadership and support to the small, qualified team you supervise. You will also get to use your naturally extroverted interpersonal skills to further develop and strengthen the existing client relationship.
About You
Trade qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, you could be in an existing foreman/supervisory role but ready for a changeup, or you could be an experienced tradie or leading hand looking for the next step. Either way you will be:
A naturally outgoing person, comfortable interacting directly with clients.
Unafraid of proactively seeking additional work opportunities for your team.
Comfortable using computer software (e.g. Word, Excel, JobPro).
Happy doing admin tasks like estimating, quoting, creating job packs, etc.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Keen to use your excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills to resolve customer problems.
Have exposure to condition monitoring and reporting.
Certified competent as a TIG/MMAW welder.
Have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (useful).
