We take pride in our rich history and cutting-edge contributions to the sawmilling industry. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer Team Leader for our Remanufacturing Plant.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on, on-the-tools role where you will coordinate workflow, ensuring smooth operations while contributing to the ongoing development of our team, including apprentices and junior staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:Coordinating the maintenance team's daily activities to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.Providing hands-on maintenance support, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations across the remanufacturing plant.Being instrumental in the training, mentoring, and development of junior staff, including apprentices, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.Working closely with the Maintenance Manager to implement improvements, upgrades, and preventive maintenance plans.Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.What We Offer:Be part of a long-standing, family-owned company that values its employees and their contribution to the team.Play an essential role in developing the next generation of engineers while advancing your own leadership skills.Remuneration reflective of your experience and proven leadership responsibilities.Join a close-knit, long-serving team that prides itself on collaboration and success.Requirements:Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong background in leading or supervising a team.Refined leadership and communication skills, with a passion for upskilling and developing your team.Hands-on engineering skills, with proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and general industrial maintenance.Physically fit and able to work in a demanding industrial environment.Applicants must be currently residing in New Zealand and legally entitled to work.Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory pre-employment medical and drug test results.For more information, contact Craig Walker at 027 369 3226.
