Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAs a part of their expansion, this large business is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for their state-of-the-art automated plant in Christchurch.
This role is responsible for engineering maintenance for the site, driving a safety-first mentality and overseeing all maintenance aspects related to plant reliability and reduced plant downtime.
This role will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in building a culture of maintenance best practice and systems.Key responsibilities include:Efficient planned and reactive maintenance at all times so that downtime is minimised.Maintaining the performance of the plant and applying best practice methodology, total productive maintenance, lean maintenance, 5S, within a zero-harm environment.Liaise with the wider site management team and ensure issues are communicated, priorities and actions are understood, and updates are provided to the site team.Completion of a weekly/monthly maintenance schedule for all planned, unplanned and emergency work orders.Drive and lead solutions to prevent re-occurrence of maintenance issues on site.Oversee plant upgrades as assigned.As an ideal candidate for the role, you will:Have a tertiary level mechanical engineering qualification.Have high-speed FMCG plant maintenance experience driving efficiencies in plant performance.Fault finding and diagnostics, reactive breakdowns and repairs, carrying out planned maintenance work orders.Be experienced on Maintenance Software - Mexx, SAP etc.Be a high energy and positive attitude person.Have an excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.Salary and Benefits for this position are highly competitive.
