The role of a Maintenance Engineer is a vital part of the team at our Alliance Nelson Plant.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager your duties will include:
Maintaining, installing, and supporting operations and operational equipment
Planned and execute reactive and preventative maintenance works.
Maintaining a very high Health and Safety standards
Working with the Maintenance Supervisor, to minimise plant downtime.
Conduct diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems, to determine the root cause.
Replace and/or repair damaged or defective components.
Attending to and addressing breakdowns

To be successful in this role, you will hold a recognised Level 4 qualification in Engineering, as a minimum, alongside:
Hands on experience in Fitting, Machining and/or Welding
A strong focus on Health and Safety
Enjoy problem solving with innovative thinking.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
The ability to work on a rotating roster, as required to meet processing demands, including being on a call out roster, and weekends during peak season.
Experience within a food or manufacturing environment would be preferred.
