With over 300 employees across the business, we're continually exploring new and innovative ways of doing things - and we've got ambitious plans for further growth!We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the Barker's Engineer Team.The engineering team is responsible for ensuring our production machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably while continuously improving the efficiency, safety, and quality of our factory.We are looking for an individual with proven experience in production maintenance and who will have a high focus on health, safety, and quality.To be considered for the role you will:Be Trade Certified (mechanical or electrical)Have experience with repairs, maintenance, and proven history of continuous improvements of production machinery and equipment.Have experience in a 24-hour manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing.Strong understanding and knowledge of Good Manufacturing PracticesWork well and be a positive influence in a team environmentYou will be adaptable to change, able to work independently and have a high level of mechanical aptitude with exposure to lean manufacturing practices.Being able to work at a fast pace, you will be able to work collaboratively with production teams to ensure their requirements are met in an efficient way and you will strive for perfection.This position will require an individual to work Monday to Friday on a rotating shift with flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.In return we will offer a unique combination of job challenge, career development and lifestyle.
