Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity? We have a position available at our Canterbury plant on Seafield Road, Ashburton, this permanent full-time position that will work on a rotating roster which will allow you an improved lifestyle opportunity with your family. The hourly rate will range from $37.00 - $42.00 per hour. The purpose of this role is to assist the wider Engineering team to keep the production process running by installing and maintaining all mechanical equipment on site to a standard that complies with all relevant regulations. We are a fast-paced environment meaning this position will be varied and busy requiring the successful Candidate to demonstrate organisational abilities and enthusiasm for a processing environment.Skills and experience we are looking for:A mechanical or maintenance/diagnostics trade qualification or be in the process of gaining a qualification.Skilled & Working knowledge of maintaining industrial plant/equipment is preferable but not essential.The ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure.A working knowledge of manufacturing operations in the food or related industryKnowledge and experience of reliability-based maintenanceBasic computer skillsA good understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for a processing environmentWe deliver taste, nutrition, and wellbeing to the world with products made from New Zealand finest beef and lamb.
