We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team based at The Collective HQ in Avondale. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team in a business with a great workplace culture and a strong focus on learning and development. You will be responsible for enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and safety of equipment, processes, and systems within the organization. This role involves conducting analysis, designing maintenance programs, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement to minimize downtime and maximize operational performance. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, your responsibilities will include:Manage an ongoing programme of preventative maintenance that ensures replacements and servicing schedules are conducted.Maintain an onsite inventory of parts that can be used to respond to typical break/fix scenarios.Engage with vendors to determine best practice approaches, continuous improvement, and automation opportunities as and when required.Work with Digital Support to ensure any technical spares for operations are also maintained and available in case of IT failure.Perform support responsibilities for the times of the production week that the systems are running critical business processes.About you…3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in dairy and high-speed filling machines.Welding, fabrication, and electrical knowledge.Knowledge of maintenance planning.Strong knowledge of process optimisation.Experience with Site services (compressor, water chiller, AHU, chillers).Strong verbal and written communication skills.If this job sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you!Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a maintenance engineer?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?
