About this opportunityPact Packaging is a division of the Pact Group of companies which owns multiple sites across Australia and Asia. The Pact Packaging Henderson site (Alto), where this role will be based, specializes in injection moulding of food packaging. Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the existing engineering team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be to carry out the preventative maintenance programme for manufacturing and site plant, and to perform fault finding and diagnostic work on equipment and apply appropriate repairs. It is also to ensure site services are running at all times on a 24 x 7 basis and that site buildings and infrastructure are maintained to a good standard.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Participate fully in the Pact Group Health & Safety program
Preventative Maintenance of plant and equipment as per manufacturers specification
Fault finding, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
Maintain site services (100% up-time)
Site infrastructure maintenance
Assistance with project implementation
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
Trade qualified Maintenance and Diagnostics engineer (or equivalent engineering trade qualification)
Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Self-motivated and ability to work unattended
Familiar with Office 365
Approachable, friendly and professional with a sense of humor and easy-going attitude
Desirable attributes:
Working experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems preferably MEX.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical
Current EWRB EAS-EST accreditation or willingness to obtain this qualification.
The role will ideally be 40 hours Monday to Friday with participation in a one in four weekly on-call roster. We can be flexible on this and are happy to discuss any alternative options.
