If so, this may be just the opportunity you're looking for.Our client specialises in precision maintenance of laundry technology and production lines for the laundry industry, and we now have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team, based in Pt Chevalier, Auckland.A bit about the role:Reporting to and supporting the Engineering Maintenance Lead, we are seeking a highly motivated hands-on practical Mechanical Maintenance Technician who can be responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment and machinery within the industrial laundry facility. Thus, ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.Key responsibilities include:Conducting regular inspections of machinery/equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing their problems.Performing preventative maintenance and repairs to all equipment.Coordinating with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records & schedules for all the equipment.Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.Identifying and supporting opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment maintenance processes and procedures.A bit about you:Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (minimum NZQA L7).3 years' experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within NZ.Excellent hands-on fault finding, problem solving & providing solutions.A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Good communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.Willingness to work flexible hours and on call if required.Physically fit and strong, able to stand for long periods.A friendly, outgoing person with an excellent work ethic.The hours are 6.00am to 2.30pm daily, scheduled on a 4-week roster system that would involve one weekend day to be worked.On offer is an opportunity to work in a very flexible and supportive working environment that will cater to, and get to know you with a competitive market rate, experience dependent.
