Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team and ensure that all equipment in the processing area operates at peak performance, with minimal downtime.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Service, repair, and replace outdated or malfunctioning equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery.
Remove old machinery and install new equipment as needed.
Provide technical support and training for new equipment installations.
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and performance standards.
What you'll bring:
Trade certification (Fitter Welder/Fitter Turner)
Mechanical engineering degree (preferred but not required)
Proven experience as a maintenance engineer with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of NZ safety regulations, including equipment handling and SOPs
This role will be crucial in supporting the smooth startup and operation of the processing plant, ensuring minimal disruptions from Monday to Friday. Your hours of work will be Mon - Fri from 5AM to 1.30PM, and will require flexibility for occasional callouts in case of equipment breakdowns.
