Maintenance Electrician

Open Country Dairy is New Zealand's second largest dairy manufacturer, producing a range of quality dairy ingredients that are exported globally.Our Awarua site is located 10km South of Invercargill, where we operate three modern Milk Powder Plants, an AMF plant, and a Milk Concentration and packing plant.We have some extensive growth planned and are looking to add a Qualified Electrician role to our team. You will report to a Site Engineering Manager and work with an Automation Engineer and 5 other Engineering operatives and on-call electrical contractors.Duties include:Maintenance of our modern plant and electrical equipment.Management of work orders and electrical spares using our web-based MEX maintenance system.Managing routine service of equipment ensuring that assets are maintained and protected.Excellence in site Health and Safety, legal and operational compliance.Liaising with production, engineering, technical, warehousing, and other OCD site staff.Driving continual Process and Quality improvements.The successful candidate needs to have the following qualities:A current New Zealand resident.Be NZ qualified and interested in learning.Ideally have experience with instrumentation and/or be willing to learn that skill.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a process field.Have high standards and a proactive can-do attitude.Dairy industry experience.What is in it for you?A standard Monday to Friday 40 hr week with paid breaks.
