This role will align well to experienced maintenance electricians who enjoy being hands-on in a plant and making sure that machinery and the plant runs well every day.Our client is a well-established value-add food manufacturer based in Hastings, Hawke's Bay. This hands-on maintenance engineering role will help to ensure the site and facility is optimised from an electrical and mechanical perspective, and that the production teams have the plant and the machinery performing at the level they need to ensure efficient manufacturing every day.You will be a part of a small engineering team of three and be across the electrical and mechanical maintenance, servicing and general upkeep of the plant and operational equipment at their Hastings processing site. This will see you sitting across day-to-day electrical maintenance issues, defect elimination, planned maintenance and risk management. This will be completed in a safe and cost-effective manner whilst minimising downtime across the plant. There are some important plant improvements in the pipeline that you will be involved in, and an interesting mix of assets, old and new, for you to sit across.To be successful here, you will have:An electrical trade qualification and ideally EWRB registration.Five or more years' experience in a hands-on electrical maintenance role ideally in food manufacturing, or experience in an automated production or manufacturing field.Exposure to hydraulics, refrigeration, boilers, PLCs, and SCADA systems will be of great benefit.If you have the electrical engineering qualifications and a continuous improvement mindset, and you are ready to join a business that is determined to get its plant optimised, then this will be a great move.
