We're looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Waterjet Machinist to join the team and contribute to the continued success of our business.Job Summary: As a CNC Waterjet Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art waterjet cutting machines to fabricate stone products according to detailed specifications.
This position requires expertise in CNC machine operation, precision stone cutting, and a strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
You will play a key role in producing custom designs for our clients and ensuring that all pieces meet industry standards for quality and accuracy.Key Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate CNC waterjet machines for cutting stone materials, including granite, marble, quartz, and other natural stones.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine cutting specifications.Adjust machine settings (speed, pressure, water flow, etc.)
to ensure optimal performance and accuracy for different stone materials.Monitor the cutting process to ensure smooth operation and detect any potential issues with material or machine functionality.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC waterjet machines to keep them in optimal working condition.Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and consistency, ensuring they meet specifications and customer requirements.Work collaboratively with the production team, including designers, fabricators, and project managers, to ensure projects are completed on time.Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.Assist with material inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels for production.Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.Qualifications:Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with waterjet cutting systems (experience in stone fabrication is a plus).Strong understanding of CNC programming, including the ability to read and edit G-code and CAD/CAM files.Proficient in operating and troubleshooting CNC waterjet machines.Experience with stone materials, including cutting, shaping, and finishing.Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control and precision.Good understanding of safety protocols and best practices in machining.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with other types of CNC machinery (e.g., CNC routers, laser cutters) is a plus.Knowledge of different stone types and how to handle and cut them effectively.Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and design tools.Forklift or other material handling certifications.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.Ability to stand, bend, and move around a production floor for extended periods.Comfortable working with sharp tools and heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for training and career advancement.Positive, supportive work environment.If this sounds like you, please get in touch by hitting the 'APPLY NOW' button.
