- Travel around our Canterbury farms – Drive in role- Competitive salary, health and life insurance- Work life balance with mainly work from Monday to Friday Are you a motivated Machinery Operator, with some farming experience - keen to support our on-farm operationsThe OpportunityOur Maronan Dairy complex is looking for a machinery operator, who is responsible for operating and maintaining farm machinery as well as carrying out stock work and general farming operations when required.This role has a lot of variety, your day could consist of anything from:- Driving a tractor: Feeding out silage, topping or mowing roadsides- Handyman work: General maintenance of plant and infrastructure, including pivots and other plant and equipment, repairing fences etc…- Stock work: Moving fences, checking stock on the run-off block and providing cover where neededThis is the ideal role for if you are looking to take on more responsibility.
You would be travelling to farms and would regularly connect with our farm teams and contractors, you would also have a high level of autonomy, so you would need to be comfortable working independently and be self-driven.About YouIdeally, you will have proven skills in the operation, maintenance, and repair of farm machinery, you will have experience driving tractors and towing equipment.You are a positive, self-motivated person who is keen to further develop, work and grow along with the rest of the team.
