Our Christchurch Processing site is looking for a Machine Technician for our secondary processing plant ensuring efficient and safe operation of the Multivac TX730 tray packer, labellers and X-ray machines.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the quality, consistency, and productivity of the manufacturing lineOperate technical machinery according to SOP's and manufacturers specificationsSet up equipment and machinery for daily operationsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues and minor mechanical or technical problemsTrain operators to run the equipmentAdhere to all health and safety requirementsDesired AttributesA relevant technical qualification or proven experience in an advanced machine operator roleKnowledge of food safety, quality and health and safety requirementsA mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solveA continuous improvement mindsetDemonstrate literacy and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detailsHave a good attendance and timekeeping recordAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWhat We OfferIn return we offer a friendly and stable work environment with ongoing training, a competitive hourly rate and other staff benefits.
