THE ROLE: The purpose of this role is supervising a team of skilled operators, coordinating with other departments to provide high-quality products, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. You would report to the Production Manager and the primary objectives of the position are:
Directing and motivating the Machine Shop team to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Championing a culture of safety in the workplace, overseeing adherence to safety protocols, and proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Implementing strategies to minimise downtime and optimise production processes, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Actively contributing to the development and implementation of improvements in health and safety practices, as well as quality control measures, to enhance overall operations and product excellence.
Ensuring all team members training is current and relevant.
You will also be required to pass all relevant testing, drug screening and Ministry of Justice Security checks prior to commencing work.

Proven time management with strong organisation and prioritising skills

Strong administration skills, ideally proficient on Microsoft 365 platform, Excel, Word, Outlook etc
Excellent attention to detail and ability to use initiative.
Previous experience or background in machining or engineering is advantageous.
You'll also have a positive can-do attitude, with the ability to undertake work in a safe and efficient way to ensure our health and safety, quality standards and production requirements are met. This is a busy role within a small team so to be successful you will need to thrive on a challenge, be a great multi-tasker and able to lead a team to great heights.
