Machine Production Operator - Freeze Dried Foods (Fdf)

Based in Meihana Place in Hastings, FDF has been around since 1997.
The Freeze Drying technology used preserves the product and the process ensures that when rehydrated, products are closer to those of the raw material.
As the largest continuous freeze drying operation in the Southern Hemisphere, we are constantly striving for innovation in our operations.
We are currently looking to increase our team of Machine Operators!
This is no ordinary machine operator role, the hardworking team at FDF are built of grit and determination.
No two days are the same.
You will be working with a variety of product from peas and corn one day to pet food and yoghurt drops the next.
It's not for the faint hearted – if you don't cope well with changes in temperature and you have a dislike for working around food technology and quality processes, this is not the role for you!

As a Machine operator at FDF you will need the following: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills An understanding of food safety, food quality, and food hygiene requirements Food manufacturing or production process (FMCG) experience is desirable The ability to safely operate a range of production equipment Support a healthy and safe environment and a drug-free workplace Reliable transport to and from work A reasonable level of physical fitness Key responsibilities for the Production Process Operator include: Prepare and feed raw materials into production machinery Monitor production process and carry out testing and checks Follow SOPs and operational instructions from the Supervisor Maintain personal and plant hygiene at all times This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a successful, growing business.
