Joining Temperzone means more than just employment; it's joining a tight-knit family where our culture and values permeate every aspect of our work.Join our team as a Machine Operator on our sub-assembly line on our graveyard shift, where you'll be responsible for operating machinery to cut and bend sheet steel or aluminium into designed shapes prior to assembly in the manufacture of air conditioners.Hours of work are: 11:15pm - 6:45amReporting to the Sub-Assembly Line Foreman, this busy, hands-on role includes the following tasks:Set up and monitor machines according to guidelinesMake necessary adjustments and recover from breakdownsSelect jobs and identify drawings, cross-checking with programsForm work queues and load raw materials using a forkliftTransport finished products to the next operation using a forklift or hoistMeasure dimensions, angles, and rotations, making adjustments as neededChange tooling and identify correct drawingsUnderstand and comply with safety and environmental policiesReport and resolve safety issues, contributing to improved practicesYou will have experience and skillsets in the following:Bending, punching and shearing of sheet metalMetal foldingMachine Operation with Safe Work PracticesCNC programming and SettingAttention to detail + Mechanical aptitudeWe offer a competitive hourly rate plus allowancesANZ Benefits Package – discounts for personal bankingReduced health insurance premiumsEmployee Assistance Program – free counselling and wellbeing supportCareer growth and stability working for a successful privately owned NZ companyHow to ApplyFollow the steps which takes you to our external link to answer a few brief questions.We aim to get in touch with you within 2 weeks following the submission of your application.
