About the Role Due to significant growth and development, they are looking to expand their team of Machine/Process Operators. They are a leading manufacturer of plastic pipe for agriculture, construction and utilities; and have multiple plants across New Zealand. Our Ashburton plant is looking for an Operator in a department which offers excellent training and progression. There is one role available and is based on a 10-hour working day (40-hour week in total) and the hours are 6am – 4pm. Meaning you can enjoy a three-day weekend! There is also some potential for some overtime hours too. Role Requirements: Setting up, monitoring & operating plastic pipe manufacturing machines Operating controls to regulate temperature, pressure, speed and flow of operation Conducting quality assurance processes to ensure product standards Monitor configurations and products to ensure machines are fully utilised Use a variety of hand tools such as pneumatic wrenches and small trimming tools Work from SOP's Personal Attributes: Mechanical aptitude to form a basic understanding of the machines Previous experience using simple hand tools such as air guns, drills, impact wrenches etc Thorough with good attention to detail Must proactively follow all Health and Safety requirements and ensure relevant PPE is worn at all times Physically able (as there will be some lifting required up to 25KG) Keen attitude to learn and get involved Able to pass a pre-employment drug test Forklift license would be preferred, however this is not essential How to Apply Click 'APPLY' and attach your resume.
