Our company manufactures metal and plastic cans for food packaging. Our factory is based in Canterbury with specialized production lines imported from China capable of producing indent shaped can.
We are seeking an experienced Machine Engineer/Technician to join our team, ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines and resolving any mechanical or technical issues. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the manufacturing processes and technical aspects of #502 and #401 cans.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. You will work at our factory in Canterbury, South Island. The rate is $30-$35 per hour based on skill.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Organizing, monitoring, controlling and inspecting Canning product line process
· Supervising quality standard and ensuring quality control program.
· Training other team members and monitoring their activities and performances
· Troubleshoot problems with equipment, machines, or production lines
· Determining the most efficient and accurate setting for the beading machine on depth or beading shape
· Monitoring electric current, welding connection, joint coating according to various length and thickness of material
· Managing appropriate levels of compressed air and cooling water and using the right of copper wire and ensuring welding frequency
· Formulating the maximum production speed at the lowest default rate
· Controlling drying speed to achieve the maximum production capacity using appropriate electric heating power and Transmit power
· Inspecting and repairing the machines onsite at any time as required
Requirements
· At least three years of relevant production work experience
· Knowledge about the mechanism and operation of Intelligent Resistance Welding Machine NEW DODO-400D, Automatic Palletizing Line GTPL-7100/XDCR-2020, Milk Powder Can Expander CT3B62B-E(6H), Intelligent Milk Powder Can Leak Detection Machine LT-M32 will be an advantage
· Proven ability to manage and lead others in a multidisciplinary team-based environment
· NZ work rights (either resident or work visa holder)
