The opportunity: We are seeking experienced Tax Managers and Senior Tax Managers, to join our growing M&A Tax team.The ideal candidate for our M&A Tax team will have a deep understanding of tax legislation and case law and have a proven track record of advising clients on due diligence and structuring projects on both buy-side and sell-side.
Successful candidates will ideally be based in a location where KPMG has an office.
However, we are open to flexible working for the right candidate.
Day to day you will:Manage and mentor junior tax specialists to ensure clients receive the highest level of service.Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, relevant to M&A Tax.Conduct thorough research and apply findings to provide well-analysed tax opinions and practical advice.Advising clients on specific tax implications, applying an understanding of legislation, case law, and financial informationCollaborate with other teams within the firm, beyond the Tax team to provide holistic solution(s) to clients'.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including private equity, investment banks, law firms, and tax authorities.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by acting as a trusted advisor and managing communications in a timely and effective manner.Contribute to the development of best practices, processes, and procedures.
What you will bring to the team:Bachelor's or master's degree in Taxation, Law or AccountingA minimum of 5 years of experience in Tax Advisory roles.
Experience in M&A tax sector is a bonus.
Knowledge of tax legislation and case lawStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively advise clients.Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead and mentor more junior tax specialists.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
