A crucial part of our offering is providing specialised support for individuals dealing with medical conditions such as post-surgical rehab, cancer treatment, recovery, and lymphoedema management.
The Roles
We are seeking new therapists to join our team in early 2025 (start date negotiable). There are two roles available:
A dedicated and skilled Lymphoedema Therapist. This role will play an integral part in improving the quality of life for individuals with lymphoedema and other chronic conditions, empowering them on their journey to better health.
A compassionate and skilled Oncology Massage Therapist. This role will play a critical part in providing comfort and relief to clients during some of the most challenging times of their health journey.
Lymphoedema Therapist :
Responsibilities: Provide specialised assessment, treatment, and management of lymphoedema, including manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), combined decongestive therapy and compression therapy.
Develop individualised care plans, incorporating therapeutic exercises and self-management strategies.
Stay current and educate clients on lymphoedema management, including skin care, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Lymphoedema Management (e.g., Level 1 & 2 Lymphoedema Training, Vodder School or Casley Smith method).
Oncology Massage Therapist
Responsibilities: Provide specialised massage therapy tailored to the unique needs of clients undergoing cancer treatment or recovery.
Adapt techniques to accommodate the physical and emotional challenges associated with cancer and its treatments.
Stay informed about the latest research and developments in oncology massage to provide the best possible care.
Qualifications: Certification in Oncology Massage Therapy (or equivalent specialised training)
Both roles :
Registration with a relevant professional body is preferred but not essential.
Experience working in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the lymphatic system.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
First-aid trained (or willing to obtain certification).
