Job Title: Logistics & Inventory Control Lead Location: Larne Reports to: Inventory & Masterdata LeadRole Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics & Inventory Control Lead to oversee and optimize our logistics and inventory control operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence, significantly enhancing our overall customer experience.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Oversee the logistics team, ensuring the safe and efficient receipt and dispatch of materials to and from external suppliers and customers.Operational Execution: Ensure timely and accurate execution of receiving and shipping activities, maintaining a high standard of customer service.Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across both internal and external teams to enhance cost efficiency and service levels, fostering cross-functional collaboration.Resource Training: Develop and implement a cross-departmental training matrix to ensure operational flexibility and business continuity.Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Implement corrective actions where necessary to drive performance improvements.Process Oversight: Manage and document the movement of all materials through SAP and 3PL Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring robust process controls.Inventory Management: Coordinate and control inventory stock counts, working closely with production, material handling, and warehouse 3PL teams.Quarantine Management: Oversee the proper handling and documentation of quarantine and rejected materials within the warehouse, ensuring SAP compliance.Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on obsolete and excess materials, providing strategic recommendations to the Inventory and Masterdata Lead.Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant Health & Safety and company policies/regulations related to warehousing and logistics activities.Additional Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Physically fit to meet the demands of the role, with consistent attendance.A good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths & English).A minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics or warehousing within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in SAP with a solid understanding of warehousing and inventory management techniques.Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices in manufacturing.Desirable Qualifications and Experience:A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, or substantial experience in a similar role.Professional qualifications in Supply Chain Management or Business Management.Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Experience in managing logistics operations within a 3PL environment.Additional Information:Flexibility to work additional hours when required.Why Join?Our client offers a dynamic and challenging work environment where your contributions will be highly valued.
