Kia ora!Our Christchurch Distribution Logistics team has two 12-month Fixed Term or Secondment positions available for a Logistics Controller within Supply Chain to support our Engineering & Maintenance area.Logistics Controllers at Air New Zealand perform warehousing duties including tool control, goods storage, handling, delivery, inwards receiving inspection, and dispatching functions.
Our Logistics Controllers ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality standards are maintained, and that internal customers have what they need, when they need it.
This is an entry-level role at Air New Zealand which is a great start to a career in Logistics, Supply Chain, and aviation in general.This role will suit you if you are:Organised and methodicalEnjoy working to deadlinesHave an interest in working within a logistics environment with a focus on qualityA strong customer focusGood computer skillsHave a full New Zealand Drivers LicenseA reasonable level of physical fitnessAble to work a rotating rosterAny previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment, a current fork hoist license, any exposure to warehouse management systems, and a high standard of maths will all be advantageousAny previous experience in an Engineering environment where tool identification, knowledge, and control will all be advantageousWe need a committed team member who has a personal commitment to achieving high standards with regards to performance, safety, customer service, and adherence to company values and procedures.Some core responsibilities will include:Prioritising to ensure all materials are receipted or dispatched within the required time frames with all appropriate accurate paperworkEnsuring all work complies with airworthiness and quality requirementsMaintaining an orderly work environmentIdentifying and reporting any workflow practices to enhance efficiencyThis is an exciting opportunity that will give you significant experience in a unique industry.
