About the Role
We are currently looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our freight processes. This will involve:
Tracking and monitoring freight shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues with carriers and suppliers
Providing clear and effective communication to both internal and external stakeholders regarding freight status and updates
Accurately loading sales orders into the system and verifying freight invoices
Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to freight deliveries
You will need to demonstrate :
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems is essential
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution
Customer-oriented with a strong work ethic
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
Uncompromising attitude toward health and safety
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact hours are negotiable and will be discussed (between 7:00am - 5:30pm).
While we would prefer that the successful candidate be based in Thames, Waikato, we are also open to the right candidate working in Wiri, Auckland (however this will require regular travel to our Thames location, so it is essential that you hold a current drivers licence).
