Logging Truck Driver(S)

AF Thompson Contracting is a busy, locally owned company with a fleet of 9 logging trucks, 5 bulk trucks, and 5 transporters. Our roading crews are based throughout the Gisborne Region, carrying out civil, forestry, and farm roading with long-term secure contracts. We also run a fully equipped workshop to maintain and repair our gear efficiently. Our dedicated team is expertly trained and experienced to deliver a variety of services to our extensive range of clients.
We are seeking logging truck drivers to join our team. This role involves driving a logging truck from the forest to Port in Gisborne, NZ. This is a full-time permanent position with hours ranging from 65 to 70 hours per week.
To apply for this role you must:
Have excellent communication skills
Be able to follow instructions but also use initiative and common sense
Have the ability to multitask and not be afraid to learn new skills
Have previous experience in a similar or adaptable role (3 years+ preferred)
Take pride in your work and look after your truck
Hold a current class 5 truck license
Provide 3 phoneable references
Have NZ Residency and be able to speak fluent English
