Livestock Driver

Downlands Transport are looking for an experienced Class 5 Livestock Driver based around the Manawatu area. We are a nationwide stock transport company specialising in the cartage of Stud Animals & Deer, operating a modern fleet of vehicles which are all highly maintained. If you have excellent stockmanship, enjoy operating within a small team environment and would appreciate seeing some amazing spots around NZ, then don't miss this opportunity. There is the potential for a Class 4 Driver who is keen to learn and obtain their Class 5.
We can offer an excellent remuneration package for the right person.
Minimum Requirements: Class 5 Licence and a NZ Resident
Some Livestock experience is essential, but further training can be given if you are not familiar with Deer
Able to work flexible hours including being away from home overnight at times
Have a good work ethic, positive attitude, trustworthy
Can work unsupervised whilst still being part of a team
Have a strong customer focus including attention to details around bookwork/mobile apps
The ability to keep gear clean and maintained without supervision
Pre-employment drug and alcohol test required
