We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals with lived experience in Te Ao Maori, Pasifika, and Disability. We work with a range of agencies who regularly look for your personal experiences and professional expertise to inform decision making. We are looking for people across multiple levels, for seasoned professionals and those looking to further develop their policy careers.
You can play a pivotal role in shaping policies through your experiences. If you have current experience in providing expert policy advice, engaging in ministerial duties, participating in consultations, contributing to governance processes, and offering operational advice - Your insights will be invaluable in supporting agencies to advise on the needs of the communities you represent.
Have you been involved in any of the following: Specialist adviceEngagement in ministerial duties including provision of advisory servicesReviewing current policiesLegislative and Regulatory adviceFacilitating consultations to understand diverse perspectivesContribute to governance processesOperational policy adviceSupport with Machinery of Government through functions such as Official Information Acts and Parliamentary QuestionsLeading and mobilising teamsLocal government planningStrategic reportingPerformance ReportingBudget reviews and bidsSkills we look for: • Strong written and communication skills are essential
• Capability to work with teams of people
• Ability to articulate your experiences effectively
• Prior government, advocacy, or non-government experience would be advantageous
• Experience in policy, advocacy, ministerials, leadership, machinery of government, and strategy
