LIGHTING TECHNICIAN Full Time
Oceania Productions is seeking an experienced live event LIGHTING TECHNICIAN to join our team in Auckland. With a rich history and a secure future in providing production services for various events, Oceania Productions is looking for a dedicated and professional individual to join our full-time lighting staff.
As a Lighting Technician, your responsibilities will include preparing lighting systems in a warehouse environment, installing and operating lighting equipment for various live entertainment and corporate events on site and working with other in-house staff on maintaining our lighting equipment.
This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of live events through lighting equipment preparation and event delivery. This includes collaborating with Account Managers, Operations staff, and contractor and casual staff. Your contribution will help deliver high-quality lighting experiences for audiences and clients alike.
To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of three years' experience in high-profile events, practical knowledge in executing technical lighting systems, including power requirements and distribution and data distribution and networks, knowledge of a variety of digital and conventional lighting fixtures, experience operating Hog and MA lighting consoles, and a solid understanding of 2D and 3D CAD (WYSIWYG and Vectorworks). A positive attitude, the ability to adapt to change, and the ability to interact with colleagues and clients in a pleasant and respectful manner are critical attributes for success in this role.
Safety and compliance are paramount in both live production and warehouse environments. You will be expected to ensure adherence to relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
