Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.6, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 19/12/2025 (Board funded project to support acceleration in Reading and Writing with new curriculum release.)Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacherWe are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our team as a literacy specialist. The successful applicant will receive high-quality induction, mentoring and support.Meadowbank School is a large, high performing school with an enthusiastic, collegial and collaborative teaching team. There is a strong sense of community among staff, and teachers are always willing to help each other out. Teachers are well supported to continually up-skill through high quality PD.Key responsibilities:Delivering targeted small group instruction in literacy to accelerate achievement.Planning programmes using a structured literacy approach to support students in both reading and writing.Collaborating with classroom teachers and parents to create personalised learning plans that ensure student success.Assessing and reporting regularly on progress and communicating next learning steps.Ideally, we are seeking someone who can work either 4 or 5 mornings a week.Applicants must have a proven ability to provide an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment, display an open mindset, and a desire for ongoing professional development.
