About The JobWe have a fantastic vacancy for a strong Line Shift Lead - Services to join our state-of-the-art production facility in Balclutha within a versatile team.
In this role, you will lead the team of Equipment Owners, coordinate the work of the team, and lead shift handovers.
You will be responsible for coordinating and organizing the services team to ensure the highest quality product is manufactured in the most efficient means.
Reporting to the Line Leader, you will contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being a winning team and promotes personal growth.This is a permanent full-time position working Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.You willProvide the capability for optimum equipment and process conditions efficiently and cost-effectively.Maximize equipment availability, extend equipment technical life, eliminate breakdowns, and reduce maintenance costs.Establish an equipment log system and evaluate equipment systems to select priority equipment for planned maintenance focus.Develop standards that define breakdowns, minor stops, and process failures.Prepare a 3 to 5-year Progressive Maintenance pillar plan.Maintain base conditions, identify developing failures early, and create and maintain a continuous improvement database.Implement the Balclutha PM program by following the six steps of Progressive Maintenance Pillar implementation.Lead and drive effective communication with all team members to drive improvements necessary in the manufacturing environment.Promote communication and standardization of work across shifts in production.Coach and provide feedback to the team.Conduct visitor plant tours.Ensure Health and Safety Representatives are trained and actively communicating/working with the shift team.Lead actions to correct hazards or conditions that may endanger quality and food safety, health, and safety.Drive RFT improvement capabilities through timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up on shift quality incidents.Lead shift compliance for applicable quality & food safety standards to ensure the safe and highest quality products are being supplied to our consumer.About YouIdeally, you will have:A degree or diploma relating to boiler operation, water, or waste treatment in the food industry is preferable.At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in utility management in dairy or food manufacturing.Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies is favorable.Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a team player.Mechanical aptitude and experience with dairy equipment are an advantage.Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance.About UsThe way you work, the way you develop, the way you progress, it's all up to you.
