We are currently looking for a dependable and highly motivated individual to join our Engineering team as a Line Service Technician. We are seeking someone who can work autonomously and has solid experience in mechanical maintenance and experience in electrical trades. Additionally, flexibility in scheduling is a key requirement for this position. The successful candidate will be employed on days; however, the flexibility to work afternoon or night shift is key.
As a Line Service Technician you will: Ensure machinery is running efficiently and is maintained to standard.Be able to operate and competently troubleshoot machinery stoppages to minimize downtime.Collaborate cross-functionally to improve machine and safety efficiencies.Be able to undertake fabrication works when required.Perform basic electrical equipment replacements.Help track maintenance schedules, analyze trends, and make informed decisions about equipment replacement or upgrades.Conduct safety inspections and implement protocols.To be successful in this role you must be: A driven individual that will strive for manufacturing excellence.NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with an EST qualification.An excellent communicator with outstanding collaboration skills.Focused on Health and Safety (H&S) and continually seeking to improve ways of working.Experienced in a food manufacturing industry will be highly regarded.Ability to access PLC and fault find is a BONUS.Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.You must be resilient and composed under pressure.Benefits for you: Experience a supportive and inclusive work environment that values collaboration and safety.Enjoy a highly competitive hourly rate with additional compensation for overtime work.Embrace a work-life balance with a Monday to Friday working week.Special staff buying privileges and employee discounts/benefits.
