Responsibilities of the role include:
Field-based role - responsible for repairs and maintenance of overhead and underground power services under normal and fault conditions.
Manage the day to day operations of a Lines Team in the field, ensuring projects are undertaken in a timely, safely and cost effective manner.
Ensure forward works are planned, scheduled, costed and resourced in order to optimise the performance of the team.
Build strong long term relationships with our customers ensuring they see Horizon Services as a preferred supplier with excellent customer service and technical support.
To be successful, a candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
A current NZ EWRB Practising Licence along with a NZ Line Mechanic Qualification is essential.
A current Unrestricted Manual NZ Driver Licence, including heavy traffic is also essential.
Live line experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Must have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in directly relevant activities.
Familiar with distribution systems and associated procedures up to and including 33kV.
Knowledge of tree compliance regulations and vegetation management procedures desirable.
Knowledge of all relevant industry rules and regulations including the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, SMEI's and business SWPs, SOP's.
