Our field team plays a significant part in our business. As a Distribution Line Mechanic based in our Invercargill Depot, you'll be part of a dedicated distribution team who safely build and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. You'll be integral to our success.
This is a full-time and permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the hourly rate ranging from $34-41 per hour plus overtime and allowances, subject to skills and experience.

Main duties Provide line maintenance, construction and fault repair across our network
Install, replace, and maintain overhead and underground/ground mounted power line equipment
Adhere and comply at all times with your Network Access Competency Scope of Practice
You will need Minimum of Current EWRB limited registration
Preferably a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Line Mechanic within the electricity industry in New Zealand or a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Line Mechanic overseas, working with distribution plant and equipment
Current working knowledge of the industry's safety regulations
Ability to perform call-out duties, possibly alone and after hours, in inclement weather
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors
