DescriptionIf you're passionate about making a difference and ready to work with a team of talented professionals, this opportunity is for you!The role: As a Line Mechanic, you'll play a key role in the construction and maintenance of electrical lines, ensuring they meet customer and network requirements efficiently and effectively. Safety will be your top priority - both for yourself and your team. This role is based in New Plymouth, and you'll report directly to the Delivery Manager - Construction.The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Assisting with work plans and ensuring that relevant field paperwork is completed as necessary.The installation and replacement of electricity network poles/overhead conductors and underground power supplies.The operation of ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines up to 33kV.Overhauling non-load-bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 33kV.The installation and replacement of electricity network pole structures and overhead conductors.What's in it for you? To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following:The ability to assist with work plans and ensure all relevant field paperwork is completed accurately.A current NZ EWRB registration license (preferred but not essential).At least two years of solid work experience in the industry.A valid Class 2 or Class 4 driver's license.A great work attitude, willingness to collaborate with a diverse team, and a strong commitment to health and safety.The ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.About us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
