The role
As a Line Mechanic , you'll play a key role in the construction and maintenance of electrical lines, ensuring they meet customer and network requirements efficiently and effectively. Safety will be your top priority - both for yourself and your team. This role is based in New Plymouth, and you'll report directly to the Delivery Manager - Construction.
The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with work plans and ensure that relevant field paperwork is completed as necessary
The installation and replacement of electricity network poles/overhead conductors and underground power supplies
The operation of ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines up to 33kV
Overhauling non-load-bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 33kV
The installation and replacement of electricity network pole structures and overhead conductors.

Who we're looking for?
You will be working on a variety of exciting projects and may have to do some occasional weekend work. To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following:
A current NZ EWRB registration license (preferred but not essential)
At least two years of solid work experience in the industry
A valid Class 2 or Class 4 driver's license
A great work attitude, willingness to collaborate with a diverse team, and a strong commitment to health and safety
The ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
